On Friday 7th November, discover two powerful pop-up exhibits exploring migration, displacement, and community:

  • A Place Along the Way: Stories from Samos – Experience photos and voices from the Greek island of Samos, Hear personal stories from 2018–2024 about life on the island — how it can be full of care, welcome, and hope, but also the struggles faced by people forced to leave their homes, including living in camps and navigating strict border rules.
  • Stories of Solidarity – See zines created across Liverpool in response to the 2024 protests, capturing messages of unity from local communities including Asylum Link Merseyside, Al Rahma Mosque, and Abdullah Quilliam Mosque.

Event

On Saturday 8 November, 11am–3pm, join us for a Day of Solidarity with creative workshops for all ages:

  • No One Cooks Alone – Swap family recipes and food traditions, building a shared collection that celebrates culture and connection.
  • Zine-Making Workshop – Make your own mini-booklet of welcome and kindness, guided by local artists, or add your message to our solidarity display.

Come to explore, create, and connect with stories from near and far.

This free event is part of and funded by the Festival of Social Sciences.
