The University of Liverpool has been involved with archaeological research for over a century, and this year we would like to invite you to learn more about our work, and especially our heritage collections - including British, Greek and Egyptian materials - by joining us for the Festival of Archaeology at the Victoria Gallery & Museum. The Festival is an annual event which promotes the celebration of archaeological discovery, and this year it takes place 15th - 30th July.

 

Human and Animal Bones: Hands On!

 

Archaeologists frequently discover bones during excavations.  This is an opportunity for you to handle and examine real and replica human and animal bones, and discover how archaeologists use them to learn about the past.
